Im really happy with this service overall and recommend all self-employed/Schedule C folks check it out, especially if the full version of Quickbooks is too much. There are missing elements here that frustrate me which I hope will be addressed soon. Starting with one that affects every customer, Im amazed one cant rename a transaction through the app. So if your transaction reads "Check 1234" you can change its taxation category, make notes, even attach a photo of a receipt taken right there on your phone -- but have to go look it up later on your computer (?!) to rename it "XYZ Consultation". Same for plenty of debits named poorly by the automatic system. Its an odd oversight I keep thinking must be mine! But nope - cant be done, at least not on my iPhone 6S.
Another thing Id love to see change is the ability to access more than one business for those who want to use QBSE for additional little ventures. Finally, I really wish the whole QBSE system could be used for more than Schedule C categories. So many of us deduct charitable giving as well as real estate rentals and they cant be properly accounted for yet. Which makes for annoying double-work when turning things over to the accountant. Hope thats coming, because whats here is clear, simple, beautiful, and life-changingly helpful!
